Steady Reviews ("we," "our," "us") provides automated review request services to service businesses ("our clients"). This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect about the customers of those businesses, how we use it, and the choices you have.
SMS Communications and Mobile Data
No mobile information will be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. Information sharing to subcontractors in support of our services is permitted (for example: customer service providers, communication platforms, and other operational service providers).
Mobile data we collect: When you receive SMS messages from us, we collect and process your mobile phone number, your SMS opt-in status (including the date and source of consent), your opt-out status, and message engagement data such as whether you tapped a link in a message or replied with a keyword like STOP or HELP.
How we use mobile data: Phone numbers and SMS opt-in data are used solely for the purpose you consented to — sending review request communications on behalf of the participating business that collected your consent. We do not use your mobile information for any other marketing purpose, and we do not use it to message you about other businesses.
Mobile information is never sold, rented, or shared with third parties for marketing or promotional purposes. Mobile information may be shared with operational subcontractors strictly to deliver the service — for example, Twilio (for SMS message delivery), SendGrid (for email backup notifications), and Google Sheets (for data storage). These subcontractors are contractually limited to processing your data on our behalf.
Opting out: You may opt out of SMS messages at any time by replying STOP to any text message you receive from us. Opt-out is processed immediately.
Requesting deletion: To request deletion of your mobile information and other personal data, email reviews@getsteadyreviews.com. We will delete your information within 30 days.
Message and data rates may apply based on your mobile carrier and plan.
1. Information We Collect
When you do business with one of our clients, we may receive the following information about you:
- Your first name
- Your mobile phone number
- Your email address (if provided)
- The service or visit you received and the date it occurred
- The name of the staff member who served you (when applicable)
- Whether you tapped a link in our text message or email
- Any feedback you choose to submit through our private feedback form
2. How We Collect Information
We do not collect information directly from you. Our clients — the service businesses you have patronized — provide your information to us with your consent at the time you book or receive their service. We do not buy customer lists or scrape contact information from public sources.
3. How We Use Your Information
We use the information described above only to:
- Send you a brief SMS or email asking how your service or visit went
- Direct you to a public review platform (such as Google) if you indicate a positive experience
- Forward your private feedback to the business owner if you indicate a negative experience
- Provide aggregate analytics to the service business (for example, how many customers responded)
We do not use your information for our own marketing, and we do not profile you across businesses.
4. How We Share Your Information
Your information is shared only between Steady Reviews and the service business that provided it to us. We share information with the following categories of service providers strictly to operate our service: our SMS delivery vendor (Twilio), our email delivery vendor (SendGrid), our cloud hosting provider (Railway), and Google (for spreadsheet storage). These vendors are contractually limited to processing your data on our behalf.
We do not sell your personal information. We do not share your information with advertisers or data brokers. We do not use your information for cross-context behavioral advertising.
5. Data Retention
We retain your information for as long as the service business that provided it remains a client of Steady Reviews. When a business stops using our service, we delete the data associated with that business. You may also request deletion of your information at any time (see "Your Rights" below).
6. Your Rights
You have the following rights at any time:
- Opt out of SMS: Reply STOP to any text message you receive from us. You will be removed immediately and will not receive further messages.
- Get help with SMS: Reply HELP to any text message for assistance.
- Request deletion: Email us at reviews@getsteadyreviews.com and we will delete your information within 30 days.
- Access or correct your data: Email us with the request and the business name; we will respond within 30 days.
If you are a California resident, you have additional rights under the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA), including the right to know what personal information we hold about you and the right to non-discrimination for exercising your rights. 7. SMS Disclosures
- Message and data rates may apply, depending on your mobile carrier and plan.
- Message frequency varies based on the activity of the service business that provided your information. You will typically receive 1–3 messages per service or visit.
- Reply STOP at any time to opt out. Reply HELP for assistance.
- Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.
8. Children
Our service is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect information from children under 13. If you believe a child has been added to our service, contact us and we will delete the information.
9. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the "Last Updated" date above. Material changes will be communicated to our clients, who will notify their customers as appropriate.
